- · How to run a Streaming Quote window
- Perform a short key CTRL+SHIFT+S
- Click on the Streaming Quotes Icon.
- Click on the Quotes>Streaming Quotes
- How to display/add/remove a commodity
- Display: Enter the desired Symbols of the commodities in Instrument cell of the streaming quotes window and press ENTER.
- Add: A user can add another row to the list, for a commodity, by pressing enter in any preexisting Instrument Cell or by performing a right mouse click any where in the streaming quote window, other than an instrument cell, and selecting add.
- Remove: A user can remove a commodity form a list by performing a right mouse click any in the row of the removing commodity, other than the instrument cell, and selecting remove from the menu.
- How to place orders through Streaming Quotes
- Perform a right mouse click on any price. (this automatically enters the price and commodity into the order entry box)
- Proceed as if this were a single order entry window.
A user can also save a list of commodities shown in the streaming quotes window. This allows the user to just upload their preferred list without requiring reentering of all the commodities.
- How to Save a Streaming Quote List
- Perform a right mouse click in the streaming quotes window and select Save List form the menu.
- Enter the name of the List
- How to Upload a Streaming Quote List
- Perform a right mouse click in the streaming quotes window and select Load List form the menu.
- Enter the name of the List or select the name from the drop down menu.
While using the Streaming Quotes window the user has the option to display
the information of their choice. The eleven pieces of information that
can be displayed consist of:
- Open price-the price at the open of the market.
- High price-the high price during the day
- Low price-the low price during the day
- Bid price-the current highest bid price
- Bid size- the volume of contracts at the bid price
- Ask price- the current lowest ask price
- Ask size- the volume of contracts at the ask price
- Last-the price of the last transaction that occurred
- Direction-which way the market is moving
- Change-the difference form the last price and the close price of the previous day
- Volume-the amount of contract transactions that have occurred at the
last price
The user can select which pieces of information they want to view by performing a right mouse click and selecting show from the menu.
